Note: Up to 80% groundwood is often allowed for de-inking newsprint and tissue mills.

Corrugated Containers
AS-11
Consists of baled corrugated containers having liners of either test liner, jute or kraft.

Minimum OCC content:   80%
Prohibitive Materials may not exceed:  1%
Total Outthrows may not exceed:  5%

Note: NZ quality is considered slightly lower virgin fibre content. Australian quality is considered as European or domestic Asian equal.
   
End Use:  Medium
Double Sorted Corrugated
AS-12
Consists of baled double sorted corrugated containers, generated from supermarkets and/or industrial and commercial facilities, having liners or test liner, jute or kraft.  Material has been specially sorted to be free of boxboard, offshore (Asian/European) corrugated plastic and wax.

Prohibitive Materials may not exceed:  ½ of 1%
Total Outthrows may not exceed:  5%

End Use: Test Liner, Box Board
New Double-Lined Kraft Corrugated
AS-13
Consists of baled new corrugated cuttings having liners of either test liner, jute or kraft.  Insoluble adhesives, butt rolls, slabbed or hogged medium, and treated medium or liners are not acceptable in this grade.

Prohibitive Materials:    None permitted
Total Outthrows may not exceed:    2%

Note: NZ and Australian qualities are normally absorbed by domestic board mills.
   
End Use: Test Liner, Carry Bags
Fibre Cores
AS-14
Consists of paper cores made from either recycled paperboard and/or linerboard, single or multiple plies. Metal or plastic end caps, wood plugs, and textile residues are not acceptable in this grade. Prohibitive Materials may not exceed 1% Outthrows plus prohibitives may not exceed 5%
Used Brown Kraft
AS-15
Consists of baled brown kraft bags free of objectionable liners and original contents.

Prohibitive Materials:    None Permitted
Total Outthrows may not exceed:    ½ of 1%

End Use: Medium
Mixed Kraft Cuttings
AS-16
Consists of baled new brown kraft cuttings, sheets and bag scrap free of stitched paper.

Carrier Stock
AS-17
Consists of baled printed or unprinted, unbleached new beverage carrier sheets and cuttings.  May contain wet strength additives.

Caution: Stock may contain high wet strength as beverage carrier board.

End Use: Test Liner, Duplex Board
New Coloured Kraft
AS-18
Consists of baled new coloured kraft cuttings, sheets and bag scrap, free of stitched papers.

Total Outthrows may not exceed:    1%
